I enjoyed your comments on "Marley and Me," but I have to say that if you really want to understand the dog/human relationship, interaction, partnership, and the intensity of that bond, you must read "Merle's Door: Lessons from a Freethinking Dog." There's so much more than what you learn from Marley! Their is such an intense reciprocal relationship. The relationship can be so much more fulfilling than Marley even hints at. It raises important questions that every thoughtful dog owner should consider. Ted Kerasote is the author, and it's an unbelievably good book.

My name is Marley, and until recently nobody had heard the name before. I'm glad the book came out because it's both a fantastic book and great PR for my name!
